Believing that involving young people in service to others brings many lifelong benefits, our scholarship provides an opportunity for a graduating student to be involved in local and international service opportunities.
To extend positive influence beyond our years and perpetuate the good that has been bestowed upon us through our multifaceted experiences while at Kearns High.

Students receiving our scholarship would not necessarily be a student that is excelling academically but someone that would be willing to serve others in underprivileged communities both locally and throughout the world.
These experiences will be facilitated through relationships provided by the Alumni Scholarship working in cooperation with previously established entities with histories of humanitarian service. Opportunities for our recipients would be provided by sponsorship through groups such as: Eagle Condor Humanitarian HOME (eaglecondor.org)

" My three years at Kearns High School were a highlight of my life. I believe I can attribute the successes I have had throughout my life on experiences I had at Kearns High School. It was there that I heard the motivational phrase, “Attitude determines Altitude.” It was there that I learned how to work hard and stick-to-itiveness by being on the football team and wrestling team. It was there I learned to work with others by being involved in Student Government. The friendships I made at Kearns High School have been everlasting, cherished and most memorable.

Kearns High School has a disproportionate number of students that are challenged in their socio-economic status and experiences for positive change; our scholarship would provide opportunities for students that are presently challenged by under achievement due to these circumstances but have an interest in rising above their present status.

Criteria for receiving our scholarship would be a sincere interest in a life of service, whether through work or community efforts. Many personal and civic benefits come through service opportunities and working with underprivileged groups. The sincerity of the individual would be expressed through personal interviews, written responses and recommendations by school leaders, teachers or community leaders. Additionally, a students efforts in local community service efforts will add to their being awarded the scholarship
